BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The University of South Alabama men's tennis saw individual success in the navy singles draw in the final day of the Birmingham CC Invitational on Sunday with seniors Juan Cruz Soria and Pierre Noyon combining to 3-0 in their matches.
Soria claimed the fifth-place match over Troy's Andy Lau in a walkover. Noyon won both of his matches in the draw, advancing past Brandon Lancaster of Louisville in a walkover and then beating Lau as well 6-4, 4-6, 6-2.
Sophomore Lucas Gonzalez came in second-place in the red singles draw after falling to Lipscomb's Daniel Cardenas 6-1, 6-2.
