MOBILE, Ala. | South Alabama men's basketball (6-6) begins conference play of the 2022-23 season this week, as the team travels to take on the Georgia Southern Eagles (7-6) Thursday evening, followed by the Georgia State Panthers (7-5) on Saturday.
The Jaguars were picked to finish third in the Sun Belt preseason poll, while the Panthers were picked fifth and the Eagles 11th. Last season, South Alabama finished fifth in the Sun Belt.
South Alabama is currently on a three-game win-streak, its longest of the season. In that span, the Jaguars have an average margin of victory of 13.
