MOBILE, Ala. - Charleen Elizondo took the women's individual title and Sacha Perrier led the men to a win at the Azalea City Classic.
Sacha Perrier took first place in the men's race, followed by Amos Pkemoi, who set a cross country 5k personal record. Taking the top five positions, South won the team title handily in the first competition of the season.
The women's team finished in second place with sophomore Charleen Elizondo winning her first cross country individual title, followed by Teanna Cason placing third, Macy Livingston taking eighth place, and Kate Miller landing in ninth.
