MOBILE, Ala. – Former University of South Alabama tight end Gerald Everett took another step toward becoming the program's first-ever selection in the National Football League Draft with Wednesday's announcement that he has been invited to participate in the NFL Scouting Combine.
The event will take place in Indianapolis from Feb. 28-March 6, with top executives, coaching staffs, player personnel departments and medical personnel from all 32 NFL teams on hand to evaluate the nation's top college football players eligible for the upcoming NFL Draft. Participants were determined by a selection committee that included the directors of both National and BLESTO scouting services, and members of various NFL player personnel departments.
