MOBILE, Ala. | South Alabama football scored 14 points in the first four minutes of each half on its way to a 38-14 victory over Louisiana Tech Saturday evening at Hancock Whitney Stadium.
With the Jaguars (3-1) holding a one-score advantage midway through the second quarter, the defense took control forcing Louisiana Tech (1-3) to turn the ball over four-straight possessions – the final two of the period and the first two coming out of the locker room.
Defensive lineman Jamie Sherriff and linebacker Trey Kiser each recorded five tackles and a sack, while Sherriff was also credited with a forced a fumble to lead the defense.
