MOBILE, Ala. – Noel Cook and Jordan Fehr led an Appalachian State defense that surrendered just 139 yards as the 21st-ranked Mountaineers picked up a 30-3 Sun Belt Conference football victory over the University of South Alabama at Ladd-Peebles Stadium Saturday.
Both recorded seven stops including a sack for a loss of seven yards by Cook as App State moved to 7-0 overall and 4-0 in the league this fall. The Mountaineers rushed for 313 yards — Raykwon Anderson accounted for 99 after a 67-yard touchdown run to close out the scoring, Marcus Williams Jr. added 94 — while Zac Thomas accounted for 174 yards of total offense.
