Jags wrap up fall with tournament title at The Clerico

TULSA, Okla. | Jack Hearn and Hugo Thyr recorded top 10 finishes to lead South Alabama to their first title of the fall, winning The Clerico over New Mexico State with a final round 288 on Tuesday.

The Jags battled multiple weather delays on Monday and into Tuesday, forcing the tournament into a 36-hole format over the two-day period. They ended up tied with New Mexico State at 12-over (580) but capture the title based on the tiebreaker with the cumulative of the highest score.

South Alabama, who was third after the opening round, finished three shots ahead of Oral Roberts 15-over (583) and nine shots ahead of Rice at 21-over (589).
