STATESBORO, Ga. – The University of South Alabama volleyball team defeated Georgia Southern in straight sets (25-22, 25-20, 25-17) Saturday at Hanner Fieldhouse to capture the first Sun Belt Conference regular-season championship in program history.
South Alabama (22-6, 15-1 SBC) closed its regular-season schedule with a league-best and program-record 15 Sun Belt wins and just one loss. Saturday's win over Georgia Southern also extended the Jaguars' win streak to 10 games.
