SAN MARCOS, Texas – The University of South Alabama baseball team swept a doubleheader Friday from Texas State at Bobcat Ballpark to clinch the three-game Sun Belt Conference series.
South Alabama (24-13, 12-4 SBC) defeated Texas State (20-18-1, 8-9 SBC) 10-1 in the series opener behind right-hander Tyler Carr, who carried a no-hitter into the ninth inning. The Jags clinched the series with an 11-10 win in game two to extend their winning streak to seven games with the doubleheader sweep.
