MOBILE, Ala. – University of South Alabama baseball left-hander Thomas Huston tossed six scoreless innings and the Jaguars pounded out 15 hits en route to an 11-0 series-clinching win over Evansville Saturday at Stanky Field.
Huston (1-0) allowed just three hits and struck out three against two walks in six innings of work to earn his first career win at USA.
"I thought he was pretty good," head coach Mark Calvi said of Huston. "On the critical side, he was behind too many guys and had too many walks in there but he seemed to come up and make a pitch when he had to.
