MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The University of South Alabama baseball team scored 11 unanswered runs over the final three innings to defeat Alabama State 18-7 Tuesday at Wheeler-Watkins Baseball Complex.
South Alabama (18-13) broke a 7-7 tie with seven runs in the top of the fifth inning, and added four additional runs in the top of the seventh. The game was called after seven innings due to the 10-run rule.
USA will return to action this weekend when it hosts Georgia Southern in a three-game Sun Belt Conference series at Stanky Field, with game one set for a 6:30 p.
