NEW ORLEANS – After averaging a double-double in the University of South Alabama women's basketball team's two games last week, Antoinette Lewis was voted the Sun Belt Conference Player of the Week on Tuesday.
It's the fifth time in her career that the junior center — a first-team all-league selection and the projected player of the year in the preseason — has earned the honor.
Lewis recorded a double-double in both of the Jaguars' Preseason WNIT games last week, averaging 25 points and 14 rebounds per contest while shooting 51.5 percent from the field and adding seven blocks, six steals and four assists.
