BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Despite out-hitting UAB and a late six run burst in the final three innings, South Alabama was unable to complete the comeback, losing 7-9 in the final game of the series.
The Jags scored first, with Kyle Morrison slapping a single to send Brennan Holt home. South then struggled throughout the middle innings, unable to string multiple successful at bats together to score again.
A two-out rally for the Blazers led to five runs scored for UAB in the second inning, leaving the Jags to work from behind again for the third time this weekend.
