ATHENS, Ohio – South Alabama gave itself the chances needed to complete a come-from-behind victory Saturday night at Ohio, but could not capitalize on those chances late and fell short, 27-20, at Peden Stadium.
The loss dropped the Jaguars to 0-2 for the year while the Bobcats improved to 1-1.
"It was disappointing," said head coach . "I told the guys we had mistakes in the game, but in terms of how they played I was proud of the way they competed. They stayed in the ball game whereas last week when it got to two possessions it felt like we had some false confidence and energy.
