LAFAYETTE, La. – Louisiana scored three runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to defeat the University of South Alabama baseball team 6-3 in Sunday's rubber match at Russo Park.
South Alabama (16-6, 4-2 SBC) tied the score 3-3 in the top-half of the seventh on an RBI double by Miles Simington before Louisiana (11-12, 2-4 SBC) scored three runs on three hits in the bottom of the seventh, aided by a two-out, two-run infield single to second by Will Veillon.
