MOBILE, Ala. – The University of South Alabama baseball team swept a Saturday doubleheader from Georgia State to secure the three-game series.
USA (18-20, 7-10 Sun Belt) took the series opener 9-7 by scoring eight unanswered runs over the final four-and-a-half innings, and clinched the series with a 4-2 win in game two.
South Alabama will return to action Saturday when it hosts Georgia State (12-27, 3-14 Sun Belt) at 1 p.m. in the series finale at Stanky Field.
