BOONE, N.C. – Pre Stanley scored 19 points while both Lainey Gosnell and Bayley Plummer recorded double-doubles Thursday to lift Appalachian State to a 71-59 Sun Belt Conference women's basketball win over the University of South Alabama at the Holmes Center.
Stanley was 7-of-12 shooting overall including making all three attempts from beyond the three-point line, and she added four assists without a turnover as the Mountaineers improved to 8-15 overall and 5-7 in the league. Gosnell finished with 15 points and 11 rebounds and Plummer added 10 and a game-high 15, respectively, with Ashley Polacek chipping in 11 points and seven assists.
