SAN ANTONIO – Yannick Schütz and Peter Staalbo both fired a 3-under-par 69 Tuesday in the final round of the Lone Star Invitational, helping the University of South Alabama men's golf program post the low team round of the two-day tournament.
The Jaguars had a 1-under-par 287 group score over the second 18 holes of the event, with Rasmus Karlsson adding a 74 and Jordan Plunkett carding a 75. With the performance, South moved up from 11th place to finish sixth in the team standings with a 597 total.
Texas-San Antonio, the tournament host, carded a 289 team score for the second day in a row, posting a 2-over-par 578 figure to win the event after finishing two shots ahead of Arkansas State.
