COLLEGE GROVE, Tenn. – Mathias Lorentzen and Yannick Schütz each placed among the top 20 in the individual standings to help the University of South Alabama men's golf team post a top-five result at Middle Tennessee's Intercollegiate at the Grove on Tuesday.
The Jaguars carded a 289 group score in the final round — the second-lowest score on the final day of the event — to move from eighth to fifth place in the team standings with a 589 total over 36 holes. Tennessee won the tournament with a 7-under-par 569 score, finishing 16 shots in front of Lamar while South was one stroke out of a tie for third place.
