HAMMOND, La. – Southeastern Louisiana used a five-run third frame to defeat the University of South Alabama baseball team 12-9 Tuesday at Alumni Field.
SLU right fielder Ryan Byers went 4-for-5 with a double, three RBI and two runs scored to lead the Lions, while Daniel Wasinger added a grand slam, four RBI and one run scored. South Alabama hit four home runs in the game, led by Drew LaBounty who finished 2-for-4 with a home run, one RBI and two runs scored. Eddie Paparella, Jared Barnes, and Dylan Hardy also homered in the contest for USA.
