MOBILE, Ala. – The University of South Alabama baseball team defeated Siena 8-2 Sunday to close the South Alabama Invitational at Stanky Field.
South Alabama (4-5) plated seven runs in the first two frames en route to its second straight win over Siena (0-8). USA will return to action Tue., Feb. 25, when it hosts New Orleans at 6:30 p.m. at Stanky Field.

- USA jumped out to a four-run lead in the bottom of the first inning. Santi Montiel and Ethan Wilson reached on consecutive singles to start the inning, and both scored when Michael Sandle reached on a throwing error by Donovan Montgomery on a grounder to shortstop for a 2-0 lead.
