This weekend's NCAA Hattiesburg Regional won't quite be a homecoming for South Alabama's Dylan Hardy, but it's the next best thing.
The Jaguars' sophomore left fielder and leadoff hitter hails from D'Iberville, Miss., about an hour south of Hattiesburg. He said he's been handling ticket requests non-stop since it was announced that USA (39-19) would face Mississippi State (36-24) in the first round at Southern Miss' Pete Taylor Park at 6 p.m. Friday.
"It's going to be an unreal experience, I'm looking forward to it," Hardy said. "A lot of family is going to get to come; it's only an hour away from my house.
