CONWAY, S.C. – University of South Alabama senior Danielle Henley scored in the eighth minute of overtime to give the Jaguars a 2-1 victory over Coastal Carolina Sunday afternoon at the Coastal Carolina Soccer Stadium.
The Jags rebound from their loss Friday to improve to 8-5-1 overall and 6-1 in the Sun Belt Conference. The Chanticleers drop to 9-6-1 and 4-4-1.
GAME FACTS
-Henley recorded three points on the day – she assisted on the Jaguars' first goal of the afternoon as well
-The two teams combined for just five shots in the first half
-USA's first attempt didn't come until 19:21 when senior Rio Hardy hit the crossbar
-Hardy broke the scoreless deadlock at 70:14, converting on a breakaway off a pass from Henley
