FOUR-RUN SIXTH INNING LIFTS JAGS OVER TROY

PENSACOLA, Fla. – The University of South Alabama baseball team used a four-run sixth inning to defeat Troy 6-4 Saturday in the Cox Diamond Invitational at Blue Wahoos Stadium.

Jaguar right-hander Sean Trimble (1-0) struck out the lone batter he faced in relief to earn his first career win. Matt Peacock tossed three perfect innings and recorded three strikeouts to earn the save. Lance Johnson (1-1) allowed two runs on two hits in one-third of an inning in relief for Troy in the loss. USA left-hander Thomas Huston allowed one unearned run on five hits with three strikeouts and three walks in five innings pitched without factoring in the decision.
