MOBILE, Ala. – Nine former University of South Alabama baseball student-athletes are currently competing in Major League Baseball and Minor League Baseball. Two former Jags, Brendan Donovan and Matt Peacock, are active on MLB rosters.
In 30 games with the Cardinals, Donovan is batting .297 with six doubles, one home run, nine RBIs, 14 RBIs, one stolen base and a .429 on-base percentage. Donovan made his MLB debut on April 25 this season as a pinch-runner against the New York Mets, and recorded his first career hit on April 28 against the Arizona Diamondbacks.
