WACO, Texas – Baylor used a five-run fourth inning to defeat the University of South Alabama baseball team Sunday at Baylor Ballpark and secure a three-game series sweep.
BU (8-0) jumped out to a three-run lead in the bottom of the second inning on a two-run double by Tucker Cascadden, and an RBI single to center field by Steven McLean to push the BU lead to 3-0.
USA (4-3) answered on a solo home run to right field by Adam Wolfe to cut the Baylor lead to 3-1.
The Bears responded with a run in the bottom of the third on an RBI fielder's choice to center field off the bat of Kameron Esthay for a 4-1 advantage.
