MOBILE, Ala. –The University of South Alabama's Sébastien Collard was selected to the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) academic all-district men's at-large team.
Collard, a junior from Gatineau, Quebec, Canada was voted the Sun Belt Conference Player of the Year after posting a 25-8 record in singles and 19-11 record in doubles. The junior went 15-6 in dual-match play in singles, including a 6-1 mark in Sun Belt competition. Collard closed out the season going 3-0 in singles at the Sun Belt Conference Tournament playing at the No. 1 position.
Among his singles highlights, Collard beat Alejandro Sanchez Gonzalez of Louisiana in straight sets as the Jaguars defeated the previously unbeaten Ragin' Cajuns on April 2.
