Seniors Cole Garvin and Evan Orth each threw two touchdown passes in South Alabama's first scrimmage of the fall at Ladd-Peebles Stadium on Saturday night.
Garvin completed 14 of 16 passes for 167 yards, with scoring throws of 6 yards to Deonta Moore and 19 yards to Jamarius Way. Orth completed 11 of 13 passes for 164 yards, with TD passes of 70 yards to Kawaan Baker and 29 yards to Jordan McCray.
Redshirt freshman Cephus Johnson completed 5 of 10 passes for 33 yards, with no touchdowns. The Jaguars ran right at 100 plays during the scrimmage, South Alabama coach Steve Campbell said.
