NEW ORLEANS – South Alabama men's basketball junior forward Barry Dunning Jr. was tabbed Sun Belt Player of the Week, the league announced Tuesday afternoon.
Dunning has been on an incredible tear recently. In his two road games, he averaged 30 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game while shooting an impressive 60% from the floor (18-for-30), 76.9% from beyond the arc (10-for-13), and 84.2% from the free-throw line (14-for-17).
His standout performance came on Feb. 22 at Texas State, where he dropped 46 points on 13-of-20 shooting, including an astonishing 9-of-12 from three-point range.
