One of the top players in Coastal Alabama has verbally committed to South Alabama.
Baldwin County wide receiver Javis Atchison announced his plans late Monday to sign with the Jaguars. He made the announcement via Twitter:

Atchison (6-foot, 175 pounds) is rated a 3-star prospect by 247 Sports and No. 29 among southern Alabama prospects by AL.com. He also has offers from Troy, Tulane, Southern Miss and Kansas, plus a number of smaller programs.
Atchison -- who also stands out in track & field and basketball at Baldwin County -- is South Alabama's 11th verbal commitment for 2019, joining Chickasaw running back AJ Phillips as local players who have pledged to the Jaguars.
