AXELSEN SITS AMONG TOP 10 AFTER FIRST TWO ROUNDS OF MEMPHIS INTERCOLLEGIATE

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – University of South Alabama women's Elisa Axelsen got off to a solid start Monday and sits in eighth place after two rounds of play on day one of the Memphis Women's Intercollegiate held at Ridgeway Country Club.

South Alabama (305-314—619) ended the first day with a 619 team total putting the Jaguars in seventh through two rounds of action. The Jaguars are four shots back of sixth-place Cal State-Fullerton (305-310—615) and six shots behind fifth-place Tennessee Tech (306-307—613)

Memphis (300-298—598) leads the tournament entering Tuesday's final round.
