South Alabama is a 3-point underdog Saturday at Louisiana-Lafayette, a team with which it has split its last four games.
This year, the Jaguars (1-1, 0-1 Sun Belt Conference) are looking to bounce back after losing their conference opener at home, 24-9 to Georgia Southern last week. Head coach Joey Jones said his team is not getting down on itself, however.
"We feel like we have a good football team," Jones said. "These guys are together, we've got some playmakers. We've got guys that can play football. As long as we focus on ourselves and do the things we need to do, we'll be fine.
