South Alabama is a 9.5-point underdog against Troy on Thursday night in the annual "Battle for the Belt."
The Jaguars (3-3, 0-3 Sun Belt) are coming off a 17-7 loss at Arkansas State last week. South Alabama remains winless in conference play, despite non-conference wins over Mississippi State and then-No. 19 San Diego State.
"We're going to do everything we can to win this ball game and move on to the next one," South Alabama coach Joey Jones said. "We have a chance to have a great year, we're a good football team. We've played an extremely tough schedule and our guys know that.
