Alabama football fans probably don't have a rooting interest in the Grey Cup, which will be contested for the 104th time on Sunday. But when the Calgary Stampeders and the Ottawa Redblacks square off for the Canadian Football League championship, one of the teams has state connections.
Calgary's roster for the game includes linebacker Maleki Harris, who played at Cordova High School and South Alabama; defensive end Cordarro Law, who played at Sumter County High School; and guard Ucambre Williams, who played at Central-Phenix City and South Alabama.
Defensive lineman Brandon Boudreaux, who played at Auburn High and Troy, is on Calgary's injured list.
