Waived over the weekend, former Auburn players Blake Countess and Gabe Wright returned to the NFL as practice-squad members on Monday.
So did former South Alabama tight end Wes Saxton.
For running back DuJuan Harris, a former Troy standout, the news was even better: The San Francisco 49ers released Harris on Saturday, but re-signed him for the active roster on Monday.
The Los Angeles Rams added Countess to their practice squad. Countess had been a sixth-round pick of Philadelphia in the 2016 NFL Draft, but the Eagles released the safety on Saturday.
