SAN MARCOS, Texas – Daylan Pena delivered a two-out walk-off single in the bottom of the ninth to lift No. 17 Texas State to an 11-10 win over the University of South Alabama baseball team Saturday at Bobcat Ballpark.
Texas State (34-10, 17-3 SBC) loaded the bases on a one-out single by Ben McClain, intentional walk to Justin Thompson with two outs and a walk by John Wuthrich. Pena worked the count full before delivering the game-winning hit on the 10th pitch of the at-bat. The Bobcats clinched the three-game series with the win.
