We are eagerly waiting the next generation of superstars, so is there anybody out there who could come and surprise us with this year's delayed Euro 2021. A lot of the 622 players that may compete at Euro 2020 are utter unknowns, but several unknown players will hope that this is their breakthrough event. In this article, I will go through which young players you need to look out for at this year's tournament that could win the European young player award.
#1: Jeremy Doku - Belgium
Doku rejected a transfer to Liverpool in 2018, even though Klopp made every attempt to get him to join. Due to Belgium having several goal scorers, Doku forcing his way into consideration when in his teenage years is something to be proud of. Anderlecht's former striker was transferred to Rennes for a fee of more than £20 million in October. The way he plays is quite exciting to watch, and he's quite comparable to Adama Traore.
#2: Adam Hlozek - Czech Republic
When he was 12, Hlozek followed his older brother, Daniel, to Sparta's academy. When he was only 18 years old, Hlozek became the youngest player in the history of the Czech Republic. He was out for four-and-a-half months in the last campaign due to a foot injury, but he still completed the Czech top-flight season as the league's joint-leading scorer, managing 15 goals in 19 games for Sparta Prague.
Fans around the world are already making their Euro 2020 winner predictions. A few teams seem to be the favorites for bettors and bookmakers alike; it would be worth checking out
top scorer odds for the competition as he is likely to get game time.
#3: Becir Omeragic - Switzerland
Before playing football, Omeragic was a tennis prodigy and was thinking about having a professional career. On the 7th of October, 2002, he made his national team debut, and he put in a solid effort, playing the entire 90 minutes in the game against Croatia. Both Wolfsburg and Salzburg have expressed interest in Omeragic. He is from a Bosnian background and grew up playing football with his father and his uncle, who were all accomplished players.
#4: Jules Kounde - France
One of the hottest players in Europe right now is Sevilla's Kounde. Due to his powerful sprint forward, he has been likened to Brazil's Cafu. Despite being just six feet tall, the defender is excellent in the air. This makes him a great partner for a more aggressive center-back. Last year, Manchester City attempted to sign him, but they ended up with Ruben Dias.
#5: Alexander Isak - Sweden
Alexander Isak, who played for Borussia Dortmund's youth team, wants to be seen as his own person and not as someone who is compared to Zlatan Ibrahimovic. His contract with Real Sociedad included a €70 million release clause. It's unclear why Borussia Dortmund decided to let him depart in 2019, as it looks like a very costly mistake by the German club.
#6: Ryan Gravenberch - Netherlands
Ryan Gravenberch was 16 years and 130 days old when he made his senior debut for Ajax. His father reportedly advised him to remain in Amsterdam and he was connected to both Barcelona and Liverpool. When the 6-foot-3 central midfielder first joined the under-21 national team in September of 2020, he had such a positive impact that he was soon called up to the senior squad.
