Zimbabwe international striker Tino Kadewere says he chose to sign for Le Havre to follow in the footsteps of Paul Pogba and Riyad Mahrez who came through the ranks of the French League 2 side.
Kadewere last month sealed a four-year-deal with modest club Le Havre who are famous for nurturing a number of stars who later became global football icons.
France World Cup winning stars like Pogba, Steve Mandanda and Benjamin Mendy as well as Manchester City’s Mahrez and Marseille forward Dimitry Payet are some of Le Havre graduates currently playing at the highest level.
Faced with the opportunity to play for a club which boasts a rich history, Kadewere said he felt inspired to move to France.
