According to a press release, Yasser Corona has been released from the hospital and is beginning his rehabilitation at home. The 29 year old center back had been in a Tijuana hospital following surgery to repair damage to his sixth cervical vertabrae suffered during a horrific accident during Tijuana's Copa MX match against Correcaminos UAT on January 31. Corona had been relased from intensive care on February 2, but had still been hospitalized.
There has been an outpouring of support for Corona both from his teammates as well as from clubs in Mexico and the United States as well.
