Barcelona coach Xavi Hernandez and president Joan Laporta will reportedly meet later today to discuss the coach’s future at the club.
It’s been widely reportedly that Laporta has decided to fire Xavi after becoming angered by his comments before the Almeria win about not being able to compete with other clubs due to the club’s financial problems.
Diario Sport are now reporting that Xavi and Laporta will meet to discuss this situation and, you would imagine, make a final decision on the boss’s future.
ESPN are also reporting that Barca are currently debating Xavi’s future and add that Laporta “has never trusted” Xavi - which seems odd seeing given that he seemed happy for the former midfielder to continue just a few weeks ago.
