Xavi: Returning to Barcelona would be spectacular

Xavi spoke about his future on Wednesday after his team’s 3-3 draw with Al Duhail and said he’s looking forward to “returning home” to Barcelona.

The Catalan giants have sent vice president Rafa Yuste and director of football Mateu Alemany out to Doha for talks with Al Sadd in the hope of installing Xavi as Ronald Koeman’s replacement.

Al Sadd put out a statement earlier insisting they are “committed to keeping” Xavi but the coach has now spoken out about what he wants.

“The two clubs are in talks. I can’t say much more, but I’m a positive person.
