Xavi Hernandez has reached a formal settlement with Barcelona to terminate his contract at the club a year ahead of schedule.
The manager has always insisted he would be ‘no problem’ for Barcelona if he was ever deemed surplus to requirements and it certainly looks as though he’s a man of his word.
Multiple reports are stating that Xavi has not asked to be paid the €11 million in salary he was due for next year, only for his staff to be compensated as per their contracts.
Xavi and Barcelona have agreed on formal contract termination, it’s now officially over.
