The United States hasn't quite looked the part of Women's World Cup favorite so far in Canada. The cohesiveness in midfield isn't there, and that decorated forward corps has underwhelmed.

So, all things considered, Jill Ellis and Co. must be pretty happy.

It's perhaps a sign of the U.S. national team's determination that the Americans remain well poised for a deep World Cup run, even if they haven't played their best soccer.
