Women's World Cup Preview: Canada - China

The home side looks to get its tournament off on the right foot with a full complement of points against the enigmatic Chinese.

In front of what is expected to be a sellout crowd at Edmonton's Commonwealth Stadium, John Herdman's Canada side will attempt to grab all three points as it kicks off the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup against China on Saturday.

The Canadians have been slowly rounding into form ahead of the tournament, as evidenced by a 1-0 friendly victory over England last week. Herdman was pleased with his team's play in that contest, aside from a "nervous" opening quarter hour in Hamilton, Ont.
