U.S. World Cup star Abby Wambach believes the team would score more goals on a grass pitch.
U.S. women's national team forward Abby Wambach clearly feels more comfortable playing on grass.
After the team's 0-0 draw against Sweden Friday night, Wambach said that the team would score more goals on a grass pitch, instead of the artificial turf ones in place for the Women's World Cup in Canada. Wambach has missed three headers in the team's first two World Cup games, but it was the one she missed against Sweden that caught her attention.
