Wojciech Szczęsny turned down Poland offer to focus on Barcelona

Wojciech Szczu0119sny came out of retirement in the summer to sign for Barcelona, following Marc-Andre ter Stegen’s knee injury, and has gone on to become first choice under Hansi Flick.

The 34-year-old has impressed so much there’s already been talk of a one-year contract extension that would keep him at the club for another year.

Szczesny’s form also appears to have caught the attention of Poland boss Michal Probierz.

According to Marca, Probierz called Szczesny recently to offer him the opportunity to return to the national team.

However, the goalkeeper opted to turn down the chance to play for his country once more as he wants to focus purely on Barcelona.
