LONDON -- Three quick thoughts from Chelsea's 2-1 win over Dynamo Kiev in the Champions League at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday.
1. Willian rescues Mourinho
A familiar scorer, and finally a familiar feeling at Stamford Bridge. Willian continued his superb individual form to score a brilliant late goal in a 2-1 victory over Dynamo Kiev, giving Jose Mourinho's Chelsea their first win in four games, to also surely secure a place in the Champions League round of 16.
It may well secure the Portuguese's job, too. Although owner Roman Abramovich does not want to sack Mourinho, it would have been harder and harder to resist the pressure for change if they had failed to win what should have been a routine Champions League game, and needlessly endanger chances of qualification.
