Vancouver’s Uruguayan imports make the difference in a 2-0 win Wednesday, as the Whitecaps return to the regular season summit in Major League Soccer.
VANCOUVER — It was not the prettiest or most exciting of games, but in many ways, there was no need for it to be. Three points was the desired return from a tricky midweek clash with the Colorado Rapids, and that was what the Vancouver Whitecaps earned at BC Place.
Coming off a 10-day break, the Blue and White took a bit of time to find the rhythm that has made them one of the top sides in MLS this season, but a decisive four-minute spell in the second half saw Vancouver come away with an important 2-0 home win Wednesday night.
