Yet, for Vancouver Whitecaps FC center backs Christian Dean and Tim Parker, that learning curve is what the young duo is facing this Saturday night in The City of Roses.
Both Dean and Parker are in consideration for anchoring Vancouver’s backline in the team's final regular season clash versus Portland, as Kendall Waston will miss the derby clash with the Timbers after being called up by Costa Rica for its CONCACAF Gold Cup quarterfinal versus Mexico in East Rutherford, New Jersey, on Sunday.
