Whitecaps advance to Canadian Championship final

EDMONTON, Alberta (AP) -- Matias Laba scored in injury time to give the Vancouver Whitecaps a 2-1 victory over FC Edmonton on Wednesday night and a spot in the Canadian Championship final.

Vancouver will play the Montreal Impact in the two-leg final.

Pedro Morales gave Vancouver a 1-0 lead on a penalty kick in the seventh minute. Tomi Ameobi tied it for Edmonton in the first minute of injury time before Laba put away the winner in the 97th minute.
